Kosciuszko Foundation’s Exchange Program 2027/28, USA
The Kosciuszko Foundation’s Exchange Program is open to Polish PhD candidates, scientists and academic teachers from all disciplines, who wish to conduct research or pursue academic projects at leading American universities.
The current Kosciuszko Foundation award categories include:
- Kosciuszko Foundation Fellowship – aimed at post-doctoral fellows/instructors/assistants, funding m.in. scientific research, project development activities, and postdoctoral internships.
- Kosciuszko Foundation Grants – addressed to graduate students and research staff, especially doctoral students, aiming to support research visits and source material acquisition.
- Kosciuszko Foundation Teaching Fellowship – intended for academic teachers who plan to teach classes focused on Polish Studies (Polish history, culture, literature) at U.S. universities.
The fellowships/grants can be used to fund research/teaching at American universities, research institutes, governmental institutions and non-governmental organizations.
Key information for applicants:
Application deadline: November 30, 2026.
Exchange term: July 1, 2027 – June 30, 2028
Exchange length: 3 to 6 months (Teaching Fellowship available for up to 9 months)
