Who can apply:

  • 3 one-semester spots – students of 1stcycle and long-cycle master’s degree (after completing the 1st year of studies)
  • 1 one-semester spot – students of 2ndcycle (after completing the 1st semester)

Financial conditions:

Required documents:

  1. Consent Form, signed by Head of the Educational Unit (EUH) or Mobility Coordinator;
  2. Certificate of grade average from the entire period of study, issued by the Student’s Office at the unit – at least 4,00;
  3. Motivation letter justifying the choice of the receiving institution;
  4. Curriculum Vitae including information on academic achievements, distinctions, awards etc.
  5. Certificate of the English language skills according to the requirements listed on the website: https://carleton.ca/isso/incoming-student-exchange-program/#eligibility. The test report must be in English and the test date cannot be more than 24 months prior to application.
    • undergraduate: TOEFL iBT 86; IELTS 6.5; CAEL 70
    • graduate: TOEFL iBT 100; IELTS 8; CAEL 70; PTE 60

 Evaluation criteria:

  1. Reason for choosing a foreign institution / motivation – 0-5 points
  2. Average grade from the entire study period – 0-3 points
  3. Achievements to date – 0-3 points
  4. Knowledge of the foreign language, in line with the requirements of the host institution – 0-3 points
  5. Year of studies (priority given to senior students) – 0-1 points

Each member of the evaluation committee can award a maximum of 15 points.

Remarks:

  • The receiving institution shall reserve the right to review the exchange enrolment request and make the final decision according to the receiving institution’s internal regulations and the legal regulations imposed by the national and/or local authorities.
  • Candidates/students accepted by the receiving institution shall obtain approval for the study programme from the Mobility Coordinator at their home unit at UW. Learning Agreement shall be signed by the student and both institutions within 3 weeks from the beginning of the exchange.
  • Candidates may, at any time, be asked to show original documents providing achievements and received awards.
  • Candidates take care of the visa on their own in accordance with the procedures of the host country: link
  • Before departure, students accepted by the receiving institution are obliged to conclude an agreement with the University of Warsaw (at the International Relations Office).
  • By October 15, 2025, nominated students are obliged to submit an application to the host university in accordance with the information on the website: link

Application deadline:  Monday 18th August, until 10:00 am Warsaw time zone. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Application (one e-mail containing all required documents; subject: Canada – Carleton University – summer semester 2025/2026) shall be sent to the email address bwz.nabory.wymiana@uw.edu.pl from the candidate’s university email address (§3 Order of the Rector of UW no. 279 from 10th December 2020). Applications sent from other email addresses will not be considered.
