Call for applications – CENTRAL Joint Workshops

Researchers from the University of Warsaw are invited to apply for the CENTRAL Joint Workshops Call 2026/2027. The application deadline is 31 March 2026.

The programme is implemented by the CENTRAL Network, which brings together leading universities from Central Europe: the University of Vienna, Charles University, Eötvös Loránd University, Humboldt University of Berlin and the University of Warsaw. The initiative aims to strengthen academic cooperation and foster research collaboration across the region.

The CENTRAL Workshops programme supports short-term international meetings that bring together researchers from partner universities. Project may include one or two workshops lasting 2–3 days, hosted by one of the CENTRAL universities. The aim is to initiate new research collaborations, develop innovative teaching and training formats for early-stage researchers, or strengthen existing partnerships.

Each project team must include researchers from at least three CENTRAL partner universities. Typically, every participating university is represented by a group of 2–4 researchers, including at least one established researcher (post-doctoral researcher with at least five years of research experience) acting as group leader, as well as at least one PhD student. The programme is open to all academic disciplines.

Funding within the programme supports the organisation of workshops. Costs related to catering and seminar room rental are covered by the hosting institution, while travel and accommodation costs are covered by the participants’ home institutions in accordance with their internal regulations.

Applications must be submitted via the online application form available on the CENTRAL Network website.

The deadline for submitting proposals is 31 March 2026.
