Invitation to Apply: CENTRAL Leadership Program 2026
We are pleased to invite Master’s students and doctoral candidates of the University of Warsaw to apply for the prestigious CENTRAL Leadership Program 2026, taking place from 30 August to 20 September 2026.
The program is organized within the CENTRAL Network, bringing together leading universities of Central Europe: the University of Vienna, the University of Warsaw, Charles University in Prague, ELTE University Budapest, and Humboldt University of Berlin. For the Leadership Program, graduate students from Andrassy University (Budapest), Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and the Ukrainian Catholic University (Lviv) are also invited to participate.
The CENTRAL Leadership Program is an intensive initiative designed for outstanding graduate students and doctoral candidates from Central Europe. Its core component is a three-week Summer School, during which up to 30 participants embark on an academic journey through Budapest, Vienna, Prague, Berlin, and Warsaw.
Combining academic excellence with regional expertise and leadership development, the program offers in-depth engagement with Central European politics, society, diplomacy, economy, and public service. Participants actively contribute to discussions, workshops, and collaborative projects while building a strong international network of future leaders.
Comprehensive funding covers program-related expenses across all five locations, including an Interrail Pass, accommodation (shared in some locations), most lunches and special dinners, and cultural activities. Participants are responsible only for their travel to the first location (Budapest) and from the final location (Warsaw), as well as meals not included in the program.
The program welcomes applicants from all faculties and disciplines who demonstrate at least a B2 level of English proficiency and an interest in Central European affairs. Candidates are required to submit a CV and a motivation letter.
Application deadline: 31 March 2026.
We warmly encourage you to seize this unique opportunity and become part of a dynamic network shaping the future of Central Europe.
