10 Steps to Succesfull Registration

  1. Check how to register for courses at your receiving unit at the University of Warsaw: 0n-line or through the departmental coordinator.
  2. Check the registration deadline: all changes are possible only when the registration is open. Remember that other students may want to join the same class as you do not wait till the very end as places may already be taken.
  3. Once the registration period is closed you will not be able to drop a course. It will stay on your account in USOSweb even if you do not attend it. At the end you will get a statutory fail grade for this class.
  4. Every UW student (you as well) has a right to give up passing of ONE course in the course of his/her studies at UW. This can be done in USOSweb within the deadline set in the academic calendar.
  5. Apart from the registration to your field courses you can also attend courses from the general university offer. Registration to these courses is through the Token Registration
  6. If you exceed the limit of assigned tokens you will have to pay for classes. Erasmus/exchange students are entitled to ONE foreign language class, ONE Polish class, ONE sports class, THREE-FOUR lectures at Polonicum Centre, THREE-FOUR general university courses OG-UN free of charge. All these courses will be on your Transcript of Records. If you do not attend them/fail them you will get a statutory fail grade.
  7. If you want to get a language certificate at the end of your language course you have to register for certification exam at the token registration website.
  8. The average ECTS points per semester is 30.
  9. In justified cases it is possible to apply for additional ECTS points. If you need to exceed 30 ECTS please report to the IRO.
  10. If you have any problems with your registration to courses – no places are available in your course, you do not know or cannot register yourself to courses or need an advice with the selection of courses – please contact the mobility coordinator at the unit offering the course(s) in question.
